Expert notes claim that the rise in personal insolvencies seem to be precise for this year.

As 2008 progresses, it is predicted that there would be a rise in the number of people that declare themselves as insolvent, reports,  director of advice service Thomas Charles, James Falla.

Taking examples from the KPMG study forecasting a 30 percent increase in the number of personal insolvencies this year, Mr. Falla states that just about everyone is talking about increase debt levels.

Furthermore, he says that bankruptcy, informal debt management plans, or IVA – individual voluntary arrangements should be recognised as personal insolvency.

The director further says that it should be noted that there is no structured way to assess how many debt management plans are undertaken during a year. However it is possible to measure, IVA’s and bankruptcy
